A space to grieve, at your own pace
Grief doesn't move in straight lines, and it rarely fits the timeline other people expect of it.
Whether you've lost someone recently or years ago, whether the loss was sudden or long anticipated, or whether you're navigating the particular pain of bereavement by suicide, there's no "right" way to be doing this.
I offer grief and bereavement counselling in Exeter, Exmouth and online, including specialist experience supporting people bereaved by suicide.
- Grief that feels bigger, or more complicated, than you expected
- Guilt, anger, or relief sitting alongside the sadness and not knowing what to do with that
- Pressure (from yourself or others) to be "further along" than you are
- Isolation, because people around you don't know what to say, or have stopped asking
- Not knowing how to keep living day-to-day while still carrying this
You might recognise...
What we actually do about it...
We won't rush your grief, or try to package it into neat stages.
My training includes specialist suicide bereavement work (ASIST, Cruse Bereavement Training and volunteer suicide bereavement counselling), so if your loss involves suicide, you don't need to explain the complexity of that from scratch.
Together, we make space for the loss itself and for everything complicated that's arrived alongside it, so you can find a way to carry it and keep living, rather than "getting over it."
